T20 cricket is never short of thrilling moments and close finishes. One of those moments was lived last night at WACA during Women BBL Perth Scorchers vs Adelaide Strikers game. The Scorchers set a target of 160 in 20 Overs after decent contributions from Sophie Devine 49*, Maddy Darke 34 and Page Scholfield 46.
Adelaide Strikers needed 13 of 6 balls with 1 wicket remaining to win the game. They were doing pretty good with just 2 needed of 2 balls after Darcie Brown managed to hit 2 boundaries off Lilly Mills putting Strikers at front.

Then came Lilly Brown round the wicket , bowled a fuller one, Brown tried to sweep the low full toss and ended up edging the ball. It flew in the air half way down the pitch which was caught by Beth Mooney who ran from behind the stumps and took an excellent catch avoiding collision with non striker Megan Schutt.

This is 3rd win for Perth Scorchers women this WBBL season. They will be looking to continue winning streak after a thrilling win last night
